This page contains tools (distributed as binaries) able to perform the conversion of data acquired on real scanners to the CASToR format. This page is intended to be updated as soon as converters for other scanners become available. If you have developed such a converter and are willing to share it with the CASToR community please let us know.
Siemens Biograph Truepoint w/ TrueV
The following package contains tools for the conversion of Siemens Biography 6 TruePoint with TrueV (4-rings) PET data to the CASToR data file format (from sinograms or list-mode files). Binaries compatible with Windows and Unix-64 bits are included.
Siemens Biograph mCT
The following package contains tools for the conversion of Siemens Biography mCT PET data to the CASToR data file format (from sinograms). Binaries compatible with Windows and Unix-64 bits are included.
Siemens Biograph mMR (currently only for Unix systems)
The following package contains tools for the conversion of Siemens Biography mMR PET data to the CASToR data file format (sinograms). Binaries compatible with Unix-64 bits are included.
GE SIGNA PET/MR
We are willing to share the conversion code compatible with the GE Matlab tools with people having a GE PET/MR research agreement. Otherwise, the following package contains some tools for the conversion of GE SIGNA PET/MR PET data to the CASToR data file format (from sinograms or list-mode files). A binary compatible with Linux 64-bit is included.
Data converters for simulation platforms
GATE : CASToR contains several toolkits to automatically convert data simulated with GATE, and the system geometry, in the CASToR file formats. The toolkits currently manages standard cylindricalPET and SPECThead systems. The input data must be in root format. Please see the general documentation file to get information about the GATE commands currently supported by CASToR, and how to use the toolkits.
Note regarding GATE v10: As GATE v10 introduces a new file system and many modifications in comparison with previous versions of GATE, the toolkit has to undergo major modifications. Currently only v9.x and previous versions are supported. The development of converters for v10 is WiP.
SIMIND : The SIMIND SPECT simulation platform includes a "smc2castor" program allowing to convert simulated SPECT projections to CASToR file formats.
